In short
Pick the service, the applicant’s location and the number of years. The estimator lists each Dubai government fee as GDRFA publishes it, adds the ICP Emirates ID fee and the Dubai Health medical test, and totals only the lines that are confirmed. Fees whose use is not stated are shown separately as "may apply". Insurance, typing-centre and courier charges are not included.
Good to know
- These are government fees as published, not a final bill. Health insurance is required but has no official price, and typing-centre, courier and attestation charges are extra.
- VAT is shown only where GDRFA lists it (the entry permit). The medical test prices are printed without a VAT note.
- A status change needs a new visa and the old residence cancelled first (GDRFA).
- Private-sector employees also need a MOHRE work permit cancellation before the residence is cancelled.
How this estimate works
- New visa: GDRFA entry permit AED 200 + 5% VAT (plus AED 10 + 10 + 500 if the person is inside the UAE), then residence permit AED 200 + 10 + 10 + 20 delivery.
- Renewal: AED 200 + 10 + 10 + 20 delivery. For both, GDRFA adds AED 100 for each year over two.
- Emirates ID: AED 100 per year of residence + AED 100 smart service fee (ICP). Medical: AED 270, 700 or 1,020 (Dubai Health).
- Cancellation: AED 100 + 10 + 10 = AED 120. Status change: AED 500 + 10 + 10, plus the AED 15 individual fee GDRFA notes.
